Charlie joined Limbach in 2004 and is responsible for the overall performance and strategic direction of the business. He is both an owner of the company and chairman of its board of managers.
Prior to 2004, Charlie was the president & CEO of the North and South American operations of Bovis Lend Lease. Starting as a superintendent in 1982, he worked his way through various management and leadership positions within the organization and was named president in 1996 and CEO in 1999. Charlie received an Associates in Construction Engineering from Farmingdale State College; he went on to graduate from Utica College in 1980 with a Bachelors degree in Construction Management. He also attended University of Oxford in 1997 and completed their Business Advanced Management Program.
Charlie’s passion for Limbach focuses on three key areas: The well-being of our employees, the success of all our projects and the delivery of financial results to our investors.
Charlie also devotes his time to promoting safety throughout the U.S. construction industry on the back of the successes of Limbach’s Incident & Injury Free (IIF) program. He is also a founding member of the IIF CEO Forum, a group of construction executives dedicated to eliminating injuries within our industry. Charlie also supports the ACE Mentorship Program and sits on the executive committee of the ACE National Board, an opportunity to influence high school children to consider careers in our great industry. He is also a member of the Construction Industry Round Table (CIRT)’s board of directors. In addition to these associations, Charlie also serves on the Board of ICON USA, a general construction company headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA.
