What is your current role?

Marketing/Events/Sales Support/Office Manager/Executive Assistant

Why did you decide to be on the WICS advisory council?
Support the initiative to attract, recruit & retain talented women into the full range of roles & all levels at Limbach.

What is the biggest change you would like to see come out of the WICS effort/initiative? More women working within ALL roles at Limbach.  More women promoted into leadership positions.

What would you tell someone if they were interested in supporting this effort? How can they help?
There are many ways to help.  Small changes from a large group of people in our company will make a huge difference.

What's your favorite part of your job?
Working with the great team in Michigan!  Meeting our customers & forming relationships with them.

What advice would you give someone starting out in this industry?
Work hard, learn everything you can about the business.   Find a Mentor.

What is the biggest change you have seen in the construction industry since you started?
I just joined over a year ago as my full time career BUT I am third generation so I have been exposed to the industry my entire life and I have seen slow growth. I do see more women choosing  construction as a career path and if the industry had been as open as it is now I absolutely would have joined construction a lot sooner than I did.

Who inspires you and why?
My Father who has always been a supporter of women in construction (and encouraged me to switch industries) and all of the women who are forging ahead in roles that were once predominantly held by men.

What’s the best career advice you ever received?
Work Hard, never stop learning new things. Have fun.

What (work related thing) keeps you up at night?
Everything lol.  If it is on my mind I try to get up and write it down (shout out to WUNDERLIST!)

What would surprise us about you?
My career before construction was in Events and Merchandising for Neiman Marcus where I put on large scale Fashion Shows for high end designers.  I also opened over 25 stores across the country as the head of merchandising for Shinola Detroit .
