Why did you decide to be on the WICS advisory council?
I believe women are a valuable resource for our Company/industry and we are missing the mark for our potential growth if we don't focus on getting more women involved in our business and leadership.
What is the biggest change you would like to see come out of the WICS effort/initiative? More women in leadership position
What would you tell someone if they were interested in supporting this effort? How can they help?
Get involved and promote our industry to more women organizations.
What's your favorite part of your job?
Dealing with people of all different diversities and levels of experience.
What advice would you give someone starting out in this industry?
Learn the business from all aspects and understand how what we do can have a positive effect on our customer base to zipper up relationships from the chief engineer to the CEO.
What is the biggest change you have seen in the construction industry since you started?
Technology in how we bid,run and design systems
Who inspires you and why?
Its more of a group than a person. I am inspired by people who give of themselves to further someone else.
What’s the best career advice you ever received?
That I am in charge of my own destiny.
What (work related thing) keeps you up at night?
Any concern that one of my teammates is not able to achieve their goals.
I am an open book. Probably nothing.
