Limbach CEO Inducted into National Academy of Construction

WASHINGTON D.C., October 26, 2017 - The National Academy of Construction (NAC), a prestigious organization that advances the industry through the knowledge and experience of its members, selected Limbach CEO Charlie Bacon to be part of its 2018 incoming class.  Long-time member Norbert Young submitted Bacon’s name to the organization in hopes of recognizing the CEO’s dedication to the industry. “I’ve known Charlie for 35+ years and have continually seen him rise to the unique challenges this industry poses. Personally and professionally, I can vouch for his continual desire to learn and improve. These qualities along with his steady leadership growth, an energetic and positive passion for his field and the successful execution of a strategic vision make him well deserving of this NAC membership.”

Out of 300 applicants, 25 are chosen. The 25 are selected through a rigorous peer nomination and election process, ultimately selecting only those that “have made extraordinary contributions to our industry.” As a member, Bacon will contribute ideas and solutions to support the industry today regarding challenges such as recruiting, training and building a technically savvy workforce, further elevating safety as every firm’s top priority and developing strategies that keep the industry Lean and competitive. In light of the organization’s mission and vision for the industry, Bacon commented, “I am honored to be part of accomplishing such a worthy goal; I’m also humbled to work alongside leaders who I have looked up to and admired throughout my career. My work regarding safety standards as well as with the Architecture, Construction & Engineering Mentorship program (ACE) has been my way of giving back to a industry that has treated me so well. It is wonderful to be recognized for this ongoing commitment.”

Bacon attended a black tie event in the nation’s capital on October 26, 2017 to receive the NAC’s highly esteemed honorary membership. Those attending included construction and engineering leaders from across the country. As the ceremony came to a close, the newly inducted members joined the ranks of 200 professionals poised to provide invaluable construction and engineering experience and insight in service to an ever-growing nation.
