THE CHALLENGE.
This project consisted of a build-out of 25,000 sq. ft. of a 100,000 sq. ft. two-story facility; including retail space, grow rooms, and production/processing area. Indoor agriculture facilities present several challenges, if the systems aren’t designed right from the start, maintained, or properly commissioned the Owner could suffer from poor plant growth.

THE SOLUTION.
To assist with budget control, our team worked with the Engineer of record and the Owner to provide several cost savings options including CPVC condenser water piping, PVC waste/vent, PEX Domestic, Irrigation systems, and providing reheat from the hot gas refrigerant with supplemental reheat for dehumidification from the condenser water system in lieu of having to provide a separate heating system.
- By providing these cost-saving opportunities, we were able to maintain the mechanical and plumbing budget and provide our client with a system that grows.
