Building Automation & System Integration
In 2010, this 96,582 square foot public institution required a mechanical face-lift to mirror the outer beauty of this historic museum. After our engineers conducted an in-depth facility assessment, they came to the conclusion that the museum’s mechanical infrastructure was in need of an upgrade.
Beyond the dire situation of the mechanical infrastructure, the museum’s facility director was concerned that the collection spaces within the museum needed environmental stabilization to ensure the protection of the priceless artifacts and artwork.
With this challenge in mind, Limbach implemented 33 facility improvements, reducing energy consumption by 20% in 2 years for the museum.
- Mechanical and control system upgrades were completed while maintaining the museum’s necessary environmental conditions.
- The Museum Facilities team now has complete control over their control systems, resulting in the ability to monitor equipment performance and react quickly to issues at hand.
- Data Gathering Devices were installed on the mechanical equipment to drive improvement strategies and proactive repairs.
